Ormonde Jayne, founded by Linda Pilkington in London in 1998, is a British niche house built around rare natural materials — it became the first perfume house invited to create a fragrance for Buckingham Palace. Taif opens with pink pepper, saffron and dates, before a heart of rose accord and freesia — a distinctly Middle Eastern-influenced composition (named for the Saudi rose-growing region of Ta’if) filtered through British perfumery precision.
Given its direct namesake connection to Saudi Arabia’s rose-growing tradition, Taif holds particular relevance for GCC fragrance lovers. Explore more from Ormonde Jayne.
